Human Resources Consultant IV

Under general supervision, the Human Resources Consultant is responsible for the recruitment and selection of exempt and non-exempt employees by establishing partnerships with management staff in the division, local and national recruiting sources, search firms, advertising agencies, professional and trade organizations, educational institutions, job fairs and conventions. Accurate tracking of all recruitment activities in Resumix. Responsible for conducting employee relations activities, including guiding management and counseling employees to resolve disciplinary actions. Provides information on company policies and processes. Serve as a resource to lower level Consultants in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
1. Conduct behavioral based interviews on prescreened candidates to assess responses with a thorough understanding of the positions in order to prescreen for qualifications.2. Utilize multiple sourcing techniques (internet, advertising, colleges, referrals, etc.) in order to recruit candidates nationally and locally.3. Post job openings in Resumix. Track all open and closed requisitions and all candidates to requisitions utilizing Resumix.4. Initiate all job offers, completion of new hire paperwork, drug screen process and reference checks.5. Conduct employee relations activities including guiding managers on the proper processes, assisting with disciplinary actions and write-ups insuring policy is followed. Conduct investigations as requested following up with results.6. Enter all employee relations activities into the employee relations log for tracking.7. Process all internal job postings to ensure timely and appropriate review of qualifications for consideration.8. Assist in the orientation and training of lower level Consultants & support staff.

Skills: Ability to negotiate and critically think through decisions with internal and external clients. Demonstrate the ability to communicate with all levels of employees and build relationships with client groups. Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Possess exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of MS office applications.Knowledge: Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of EEO regulations, labor laws, state and local regulations. Must have an advanced understanding of cost per hire, turnover, retention, statistics and compensation practices.Experience: 8 plus years of Human Resources Generalist experience required, which includes previous experience in recruitment, compensation practices, employee relations, and benefits information. Previous health care related experience required. Extensive experience in multiple sourcing techniques. Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.

4-year degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent work experience required.(Professional Human Resource) PHR Certification preferred.
