Human Resources Generalist III

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for day to day administration of all programs and policies covering recruiting and staffing, including drafting job descriptions, on-line and traditional recruiting and pre-screening of applicants, coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters and completing new hire paperwork.  Also responsible for assisting other HR staff with benefits administration, personnel matters, records administration and special projects.  Reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate job postings and internet/classified adsPlace temporary workers as needed following established guidelinesScreen, interview and recommend prospective employees for employmentConduct reference and background checks following written guidelinesTrack incoming resumes and employment applicationsProcess response/reject letter to job candidatesMaintain recruitment selection records (resumes/applications)Maintain personnel records - both primary and confidentialConduct new hire orientation, enrollment and answer questionsMaintain applicant flow and new hire logs for affirmative action tracking with the HRIS systemGather information, prepare and submit necessary paperwork for badging process for new hire and/or temporary workersAssists as needed with other HR functions including benefit administration, wage and salary administration and personnel administrationMaintains work area to ensure efficient, safe and attractive work environmentOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience, plus five years of experience in human resourcesAt least two years specific experience performing sourcing and recruiting for candidates on a nationwide levelAbility to perform well under pressure, take initiative and work independently or in a team effortAdvanced skills in standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, work flow and Internet/Intranet applicationsUnderstanding of data and database management using HRIS systemsMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of applicable federal and industry statutes and regulations related to Human ResourcesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredSome overnight travel requiredA criminal background check and drug screen analysis are required
