Position Summary: At Sara Lee, you will work closely with and provide HR Support to the plant management team. As a HR Generalist you will work in conjunction with the Manager Human Resources in interpretation and administration of the Human Resources program. Responsibilities include recruitment, selection and orientation of new employees. Maintenance of personnel records, local HRIS database, corporate HRIS and plant’s Affirmative Action Plan. Primary Responsibilities:? Policy Management — including administering/interpreting company Policies and representing the organization (and/or assisting the HR Manager/Director) in personnel and employment law compliance related investigations and hearings. ? HR/Organization Consulting — including change management facilitation and organizational consulting with all levels of employees. ? Employee Programs & Records Management — including administering the annual Benefits Open Enrollment Process, coordinating/reporting employee status transactions and administering Employee Benefits Plans and Workers’ Compensation. ? Talent Selection — including recruiting, interviewing and selecting hourly/commissioned and non-exempt employees. Assisting HR Manager/Director with recruiting exempt employees. ? Employee Training & Development — including conducting new employee orientation sessions and coordinating other training sessions. Assist HR Manager with training delivery and training needs assessment. ? Employee and/or Labor Relations — Including assisting HR Manager/Director with developing and implementing effective Employee Relations programs. Assist HR Manager/Director with preparation for labor negotiations. Participate in labor negotiations sessions. Manage Employee Complaint Resolutions process.
Requirements include willingness to relocate, Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3years progressive experience as HR Generalist. Need to be a team player, bring strategic focus to HR activities and be adaptable in a dynamic environment.Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite applications, Web-based recruiting and HRIS systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft. Excellent Communications and Organization skills.
