Human Resources Manager—Louisville/Indianapolis

Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources Manager to be located in either Louisville or Indianapolis. MPS is specialty printing company with locations currently in six states. It is a young, exciting company with aggressive plans to continue growing both organically and through acquisitions. As a member of the facility management teams, the HR Manager will be working with outstanding industry leaders who have a passion for the work they do. This position will report directly to the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources and be responsible for employee relations, communication, training and development, compensation, recruitment, staff planning, and adherence to MPS policies and guidelines. The scope of this position includes approximately 150-200 employees located in Louisville and Indianapolis.

 

Job Duties:

Assure availability of an adequate, well trained workforce to support the operational goals of the Louisville and Indianapolis facilities by recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce that will provide the skills needed to make the organization successful. Provide direction to assure fair and equitable administration of company policies and wage and benefit programs. Maintain positive employee relations ensuring union-free environments, including the identification of breaches of culture/values that impact the work environment.  Investigate employee relations issues and partner with managers for resolution. Analyze turnover to identify trends and develop retention strategies. Partner with operations management to recruit for exempt and non-exempt positions; source candidates, screen resumes, arrange interview team schedules, ensure compliance to all company policy and procedure related to hiring. Responsible for administering company Performance Management program. Provide counsel and leadership coaching (360's) and partner with managers in the performance management process and the execution of employee development plans. Drive and execute company HR initiatives. Oversee and/or conduct new employee orientation, conduct training, including management development training in HR related areas (interviewing, coaching etc.).

 

Qualifications:

Requirements include BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years? human resources management experience. PHR/SPHR preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal employment law. Effective written and oral communication skills, including negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution abilities required. Time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office products with strong emphasis in Excel and Word, Outlook and HRIS software. Must understand what it means to be an HR business partner. Must have a strong work-ethic as well as a sense of urgency. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
