We are searching for a Direct Hire Human Resources Manager in King of Prussia, PA - #6523.
Summary:
Manage and implement regional HR functions within corporate objectives and applicable employment laws. Translate business strategies into HR priorities through recruiting and staffing activates, employment law compliance practices, administration expertise, and management practices. Build and maintain a healthy and productive culture within the corporate and store environment that has a positive and long lasting effect.
Essential Functions:
Ensures optimum retail and support staffing levels essential to achieving business goals by creating and implementing quarterly recruitment plans with corporate managers and reporting staff to ensure selection and hiring of associates. Sources qualified applicants who meet and exceed company and position standards through a variety of sources including community involvement, Internet and other employment sources. Interviews job candidates and refer qualified applicants to hiring managers. Administers background checks, drug testing, and job candidate assessment tools to ensure integrity of hiring decisions. Delivers administrative expertise by managing the accuracy and confidentiality of all electronic and paper employee transactions and events consistent with applicable federal and state guidelines and customer service practices.

Minimizes company liability and exposure by effectively managing employee relation's issues and counseling employees/managers with the goal of early intervention/resolution. Consistently utilizes and complies with company policies and employment laws in all employee interactions. Minimizes company costs by effectively managing unemployment and works' compensation claims. Represents Company at hearings. Works with HR Director to coordinate investigations and provide documentation. Assists with coordinating the Company's defense of federal and state agency complaints and litigation. Communications company policy and employment law updates for managers. (20%)
Conducts new hire orientation training and manager meeting presentations per direction of HR Director. Attends and represents company at cross-functional events. (10%)
Focuses on retaining employees by conducting focus groups, evaluating turnover data, identifying issues and addressing them with appropriate people and implementing action plans. (10%)
Assists HR Director with special projects or assignments as needed. (10%)
Manage HR recruiting staff and Front Desk operations (10%)
Qualifications:
7 years of Human Resources experience with a minimum of 3 years staff management experience required.
BS Degree Human Resources or related degree required.
Human Resources experience, which should including supervision, training, recruiting and complex employee relations. Ability to read, draft and interpret documents, policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail are essential. Candidates who have worked in a PeopleSoft environment are preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and conduct group presentations required and must maintain confidentiality.
Must have thorough working knowledge of federal and state laws.
Experience in high-end retail environment much preferred.
