Global firm with locations on every continent is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead their dynamic team.  Corporate HQ is in Chicago.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain national and global HR experience at a high level.  Travel to major cities will be required...approximately 50%.

 

The position reports directly to the Global Vice President, and responsibilities include:

- Supervise and manager the human resources team, which includes training, hiring, educating and mentoring of staff.

- Act as the human resources liaison with upper level management(consult and recommend courses of action as they relate to all HR functions...employee relations, compensation, training, policies and procedures, national programs, workers comp, health, recruitment/staffing, strategic planning, etc)

- Develop internal policies and procedures

- Manage training programs (implementing

 programs on a national level)

- Management interface with OSHA, and develops safety programs and protocols for multiple locations

- Employee Relations

- Compensation

- Direct various staffing needs by department, and assist in recruitment plans and strategies.  Assist in higher level hires and recruitment at the VP and Director level

- Strategic planning and budget management for division

- Various special projects as assigned by top management members

 

The qualified candidate will possess a BS in Human Resources or related degree (business or other) with 8+ years of experience...Masters degree a plus.  Must have strong leadership skills and understanding of employment law on a federal and state level.

 

Travel to major cities will be approximately 50%
