The National Notary Association (Chatsworth, CA) is an educational organization promoting professional standards and best practices among its membership. Since 1957 the NNA goal has been to provide the best possible service to Notaries across the country through Notary education and information services, legislative advocacy, public education, research and development and public service.

The NNA is looking for an experienced MANAGER to lead Human Resources.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for handling employee relations issues including a solid working knowledge of the relevant laws and regulation requirements, leading investigations, and responding to federal, state, and local labor issues; providing basic information about compensation and benefits; planning and implementation of effective recruiting and selection strategies; and supporting policy and procedure development and related questions.

This position is also responsible for managing a variety of projects and assisting with other HR-related record keeping, compliance and operational functions, and other duties as assigned.

We are seeking candidates with strong problem-solving and influencing skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Expectations for this position include:

? BS/BA in Human Resource Management or related field preferred
? Five years of Human Resources generalist experience with strong experience in employee and labor relations, training, and organizational development
? Two years of management experience or proven knowledge of the fundamentals of leadership and management required
? Previous experience administering a profit sharing plan and working with a third party administrator a plus
? Ability to influence all levels of management and staff
? Results oriented self-starter focused on continuous improvement
? Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Requires knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and workplace laws
? Requires strong knowledge of HR and Operations policies, systems, and processes
? Computer knowledge essential, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of HR database systems
? PHR or SPHR certification a significant plus
? Results oriented self-starter focused on continuous improvement
