We currently have operations across the US and will continue to grow. Currently in our New York Headquarter Office we are seeking a Human Resources Manager/Generalist.
Job Description: We are looking for a Human Resources Manager/Generalist who will oversee the HR functions within our New York Headquarter office. This includes updating of current processes in addition to creating new, more efficient processes. The candidate should be friendly and outgoing, have a good sense of humor and be extremely flexible The HR Manager/Generalist will provide advice and cost-effective personnel services which enable the company to achieve its goals and meet its responsibilities to the people it employs. The candidate will be responsible for all Human Resource processes. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must.
Specific Responsibilities: Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and non exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements. Handles employee relations counselling, outplacement counselling, and exit interviewing. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Advise on personnel strategies, policies and practices which support the achievement of the company's business objectives while fulfilling its obligations to employees in assigned company(ies) and country(ies) Prepare demand and supply forecasts of people requirements in terms of numbers, skills and competences and plans for the recruitment and retention of employees to meet business needs Provide advice on all employment and health and safety matters, including issues arising in connection with employment legislation, to ensure that the company meets its legal and social obligations and avoids legal actions, and when assigned lead specialist projects/areas such as; health & safety, induction, HRIS, ISO/IIP, compliance, communications, diversity etc. Develop and help to maintain performance management processes which are owned by line managers and employees and make a significant contribution to employee motivation, performance and development Plan and implement employee development programmes to meet identified needs and satisfy the company's requirements for an effective and multi-skilled workforce Advise on reward management systems and the operation of the company's pay structure and performance pay schemes which obtain, retain and motivate employees Advise on employee relations issues and coordinate the company's involvement and communication processes in order to develop and maintain a cooperative and peaceful climate of employee relations in the company Develop and maintain an effective computerized personnel information system Manage background screening checks Oversees risk management programs including workers compensation and related activities Additional responsibilities include administrative duties such as: proper maintenance of employee files, including ensuring compliance with internal and external policies etc.
Job Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications Strong process of orientation Details oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving Excellent research, analytical and writing skills Experience dealing with non-profit organizations and charitable fundraising Ability to plan and schedule the work of others Demonstrated capability to inferface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
Education and Work Experience: A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
Location:
The position will be located in Downtown Manhattan
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 - Based on experience
