PLANT HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Manufacturing Environment
Position Summary:
HIGHLY VISIBLE OPPORTUNITY! This role provides HR support to their 'flagship' facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all human resource functions of the operation: recruiting, payroll, benefits administration.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing worker?s compensation and return-to-work programs.
Maintaining employee records.
Advocating for employees and assisting managers
Consulting with managers on employee issues including performance management, progressive discipline, and career development
Maintaining OSHA log
Complying with state, federal and internal reporting requirements
Facilitating local and corporate communication efforts.
Employment activities
Requirements:
Three ? five years of generalist experience required. Experience in a non-union, multi-cultural environment is a plus. The position requires a working knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, COBRA/HIPPA and others. The successful candidate must be able to organize and prioritize the workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal direction. Ideally, he or she will be a highly motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to adapt well to change. Requires demonstrated computer skills. The ability to work closely in a team based environment with all employees. The ability to help all teams throughout the plant achieve their goals.
