Human Resources Manager



Overview:

As a Human Resource Manager at Macy's you will be responsible for implementing all activities related to developing and motivating a successful and productive employment environment. You will serve as support to the Store Management team and as an information source for the stores executive and associate population.



Key Accountabilities:

Implement HR strategies to support critical care businesses
Analysis & strategy of Macys West initiatives
Ensure consistency & integrity of Macys West / Federated Department Stores programs
Forecast talent needs & identify internal talent
Rate management
Diversity / community involvement
Executive Development:Coaching, Performance feedback, Skill development, Succession planning, Performance management / accountability; Associate behavior, Credit, CRLs, Attendance and Retention
Associate Development: Associate training, Selling floor interaction; provide feedback on selling behaviors, Associate review boards; discipline tracking, Train Associates on self-service resources and New Hire Orientation
Employee Relations: Investigate formal and informal claims; appropriate discipline / resolution, Disability management & investigative process of LOA's & Worker's Comp, Associate communication meetings, Opinion surveys & action planning process, Recognition; sales, service, credit, tenure and implementation of all Macy's West and Federated Department Stores programs

Skills Summary:

To be a successful Human Resource Manager it is imperative that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills and most importantly LOVE working with people in a team environment. A Human Resource Manager must have a proven passion for people and a working knowledge of WORD, EXCEL and PeopleSoft.
