Human Resources/Payroll Assistant

Title Resource Group (TRG), a full-service title, settlement, and vendor management services company serving real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations and financial institutions, is currently seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and their staff. Assists with a variety of HR functions, including payroll data entry and processing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The assistant will perform confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skills and knowledge of the organization and its’ policies and practices. Screens telephone calls and visitors, and resolves routine and complex inquiries. Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries and coordinates related arrangements. The primary HR support area will be processing payroll data for all employees, ensuring that all changes and hours are verified and entered into the payroll system for accurate and timely processing of employee paychecks. This position will also be responsible for assisting with other HR functions, such as recruitment, payroll, compensation, benefits and learning & development. Some of the duties include:Process all employee change forms - new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc.Resolve basic payroll and HRIS issuesSubmits the online background check requests and assists with retrieving background checks resultsPerforms customer service functions by answering employee requests and questionsAssists SVP of HR with various research projects and/or special projectsAssist with scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks and sending out new hire packagesAssist L&D with coordinating and tracking training classes within a learning management systemMakes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functionsFiles papers and documents into appropriate employee filesAssists or prepares correspondencePrepares new employee filesProcesses mail, travel & expense reimbursement forms and department invoicesPerforms other duties as assigned



A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelors degree preferred. Requires one to two years of business or human resources experience. Prior administrative assistant experience preferred. Experience in Human Resources department is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work as part of a team. Exceptional organizational, administrative/secretarial skills; must be pro-active. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with deadlines. Strong judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
