About the Opportunity

New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. is currently seeking a dynamic HRIS/Payroll professional with 5-10  yrs of payroll experience and strong HRIS background.  The qualified professional must have a demonstrated history of customer service, payroll processing and payroll auditing, as well as strong HRIS capability.


Job DutiesProvide Customer service to all levels of the organizations.  Respond to written and oral questions regarding Payroll matters.Write articles and emails explaining Payroll timelines and/or requirements.  Audit and update 100% of payroll forms and training materials.Identify and resolve any compliance issues with Federal, State regulations, and Union contract.Use Report Writer to create reports and provide accurate and timely payroll information to internal and external customers.Time & Labor Systems - functional expert, lead system modifications, troubleshooting, conduct training and develop/maintain training materials.  End user support for all system users.Work with Benefits group to troubleshoot and resolve PeopleSoft HRIS issues.  (Base Benefits) Benefits Adminstration.

 

QualificationsWorking knowledge of best CA and Federal payroll practices.Ability to effectively communicate complex payroll issues in oral and written form.Ability to use ProBusiness, PeopleSoft, HR, Excel and Word.Demonstrated knowledge of payroll best practices including but not limited to accurate calculation of payments such as manual checks, final checks, and vacation prorations.Demonstrated ability to extract information from the ProBusiness system using report writer.Ability to develop functional specifications and/or work with HRIS to develop specificiations based on requirements.Certified Payroll Professional.5-10 years Professional Payroll/HRIS experience.PeopleSoft power User, advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications.  Knowledge of Cognos applications.Benefits experience highly desirable.
