HR Site Partner - San Diego

Job Purpose:

Maintains and supports the organization?s human resources organization by planning, implementing and administering programs and policies, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and health and safety programs.

 

Duties:

Will work closely with site and corporate management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development.

 

Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, resolving employee relation issues with a systematic and methodical approach.

 

Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary reviews, stock renewals, and organizational changes).

 

Assists management in the development solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.

 

Investigates formal employee complaints/concerns and recommends the company?s response to the employee.

 

Conducts new hire orientation and termination interviews.

 

Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal, state and local laws regarding employment, record keeping, safety, labor relations, personnel and equal opportunity policies and practices and related matters.

 

Conducts research on assigned projects and provides analysis/recommendations related to the data produced.

 

May assist in the formulation of compensation objectives, personnel policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

Demonstrated leader with minimum 5 years of broad based experience in human resources.  A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or the equivalent is required with HR certification(s) a plus.  Ideal candidate will be someone who is both ?hands on? and a strategic thinker. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.  Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.  Previous experience in a high tech start-up environment and familiarity with ABRA a plus.
