Human Resources Specialist, Senior
Key Role: Provide HR support in career management, employee relations, employee retention, employee motivation, organizational policies, and compensation and benefits administration. Provide career management guidance and one-on-one counseling on writing assessments, mentoring, career discussions, professional development plans, and salary management. Provide leadership and education on Booz Allen’s core values, ethics, compliance, and overall HR policies and procedures. Educate and counsel managers on employee relations issues to ensure fair treatment of staff and compliance with federal and state employment laws. Advise managers on compensation decisions through job analysis and the determination of internal equity and external competitiveness. Provide analysis of results and trends in competency assessments, turnover, compensation, and training or development needs.
Functional/Industry Knowledge:
-7+ years of experience with HR
-Experience with various HR functions, including policies, employee relations, and career management
-Experience with software, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, PeopleSoft, and COGNOS preferred
-Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful, and organized and to work in a multi-functional role
-Possession of excellent client-handling, analysis, and problem- and project-solving skills
Education/Certifications or equivalent required:
BA or BS degree in HR or a related field required; MA or MS degree preferred
