Promissor, a Pearson VUE Business, has an opening for a Human Resources Assistant. Pearson VUE implements innovative electronic testing solutions that enhance the performance, reliability and security of professional licensing and certification programs throughout the world. Tests are delivered through a domestic network of more than 200 company-owned and operated Pearson Professional Centers and more than 3,400 Pearson VUE Authorized Centers worldwide.
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the following duties including but not limited to:
' Maintains employee files, faxing, and mailing of confidential, time-sensitive documents for Human Resources Department.
'Performs administrative tasks for the department ' such as sending out letters, creation of handbooks, folders, and materials for meetings, presentations, and New Hire Orientation.
'Coordinates department meetings, lunches, travel arrangements, and other special events for Human Resources.
'Supports process regarding paperwork for new hires, terminations, employee changes by coordinating with ESC and utilizing Oracle when necessary.
'Conducts background investigations, and support recruiters regarding new hire process
'Serves as main point of contact for all employee questions and participates in new hire orientation process.
'Coordinates Employee Relations events.
'Provides additional administrative support as directed.
A minimum of one year administrative experience is required; four-year college degree and some interested in Human Resources preferred.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
'Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with a variety of employees, from upper-level management to outside vendors.
'Ability to work within and honor confidential nature of Human Resources Department.
'Proven desire and ability to take the initiative, and not be afraid to make decisions under pressure.
'Ideal candidate should be extremely flexible, and willing to commit to a 40 hour work week.
'Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high-volume, deadline driven environment.
'Must be detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency for completing tasks within a timely manner.
'Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite as well as Outlook.
'Familiarity with Oracle or similar HRIS database systems is preferred.
