ISS-PS-HR Manager

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Objective :

Provide the full spectrum of day-to-day human resource services to three facilities: Rochester Hills, Michigan (non-union), Madison Heights, Michigan (union), and Bryan, Ohio (non-union). Services include employee relations and labor/contract administration, recruitment, personnel and staff development, performance management, EEO, ES&H administration, benefit and policy administration, interpersonal conflict resolution, and individual and organizational consulting on effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities :

* Proactively maintain a positive employee relations environment and an effective dispute resolution process.
* Act as a business partner and consultant to the facility management teams and employees by providing advice and counsel on HR programs and practices to support the business objectives in Rochester Hills, Madison Heights, and Bryan.
* Manage the recruitment process for all hourly, non-exempt and exempt salary position openings that support the Rochester Hills, Madison Heights, and Bryan functional areas from recruiting, orientation to retention.
* Produce, report, and maintain secure records for three locations (one unionized).
* Coordinate all ES&H responsibilities and assure compliance to all regulatory requirements including workers compensation case management. OSHA safety training, OSHA record keeping.
* Assure effective and consistent administration of all Corporate and local policies and procedures.
* Administer the Madison Heights Labor Agreement and administer all non-standard benefit programs.
* Identify and work to resolve common HR problems.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Problem Solving & Knowledge :

Must possess excellent organizational skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently. Effectively address organizational issues between functional areas of operations, productivity, and aftermarket businesses. Often interpret policy and apply to situations that are highly confidential and effect employment decisions. Work with management to diagnose, develop and implement solutions to conflicting goals and measures in order to work towards a common organizational goal and to leverage the resources of the business unit as a solution center.

* Must possess sufficient knowledge of applicable employment and labor laws.
* Must be able to work effectively, with little direct supervision, to successfully meet objectives.
* Lotus Notes, Oracle HRMS, EEX or other staffing systems, Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to command professional respect of all levels of employees at each facility.

Education / Experience :

* Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field required.
* MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years in Human Resources role. Labor relations experience preferred.
* Supervisory experience a plus.
* Domestic travel required to support all three sites. Expect 1 day per week in Bryan, Ohio
