Junior Recruiter - Screener - Internship

Recruiter - Screener Pay is $14/hour This is a temporary assignment, which may last (at minimum) two months.

The primary focus of the Sourcing/Screening Assistant is to act as a recruiting assistant for the Business Unit recruiters. As a shared resource, the Sourcing/Screening assistant will both phone screen candidates routed to them as well as assist with resume mining and candidate sourcing as needed for niche positions. It is essential that this individual is familiar with the Affirmative Action goals for the company in order to assist the recruiters and Diversity Recruiter with screening diversity talent for specific job requisitions. Individual must be a strong communicator with the recruiters and the candidates and be able to multi-task and understand the various different business units we support (at a high level) to successfully phone screen and recommend candidates.

Primary responsibilities to include phone screening top candidates to review their resume and qualifications for positions. Will ask previously identified questions and be expected to follow up and ask additional probing questions of the candidate as needed. At the conclusion of the phone screen will write up the notes on the candidate with an overall assessment and forward the information to the recruiter. In addition, this individual will occasionally assist recruiters with reviewing resumes for minimum qualifications, and identify the top candidates for further review and screening.

Individual must be highly motivated and able to support a large, diverse team and a variety of recruiting needs. Excellent communication skills and organization skills are required. Strong spreadsheet and database skills are preferred. Strong preference for expertise with interviewing candidates from a variety of backgrounds, education level and fields is desired.

Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources preferred. Prior experience Human Resources or similar capacity ideal.
