Labor Relations Assistant (2006-018)
Closing Date: August 1, 2006
Job Summary
Perform professional level support functions for the Manager of Labor Relations.
Position Requires:
3 years similar experience in a similarly fast-paced environment; preferably in labor relations or human resource environment or combination of related education and experience.High proficiency in MS Office package or similar record keeping system; knowledge of payroll systems a plus.Must be highly organized, able to prioritize tasks independently, work with confidential information. Positively interface with client departments and agreement-covered employees.Have intermediate skills in MS Office package and ability to learn other software applications.Must have the ability to prepare comprehensive reports, speak and write effectively and work under a minimum of direction.Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments.Must be able to communicate successfully with a variety of disciplines and levels, both internal and external staff.Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. A writing sample may be required.Must have demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.Strong interpersonal skills.Satisfactory prior work history.
