Leadership Development Specialist

Plexus is currently seeking a Leadership Development Specialist, who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of a performance/talent management system.  This will involve succession planning, career planning, leadership development, coaching, and counseling employees as needed.  The position will also be responsible for all aspects of training and facilitating as it relates to leadership, performance improvement, and management.

 

Responsibilities:Propose and implement process changes and improvements to ensure the Leadership Development Department and company training goals are met for leadership development, career pathing, and succession planning. Define the requirements for developing a wide range of management development training programs based on career development and performance improvement process. Develop and execute succession plan process incorporating individual career pathing and performance improvement. Assess human resource talent within Plexus to provide the company with a bench of talented employees who can directly influence the company?s progress. Research and complete a staff analysis within all business units. Supports functional and operational business units and assists in the assessment and review of bench strength to estimate future needs throughout company (position additions and elimination). Identify succession readiness and create comprehensive divisional career paths by identifying resources throughout the company. Guide individuals through creating and developing a personal career plan.  Counsel individuals on their progress and progression with their career plan. Additional duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development or other Human Resources related field is required.A minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in the development and execution of a large-scale performance management program that includes, but is not limited to succession planning, career planning and leadership development.Proven experience in developing, implementing and facilitating multi-level leadership development programs is required.Must have experience in working with management to assess, identify and develop training and development initiatives, which align to company business goals and values.Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.  Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and HRMS is essential; PeopleSoft is a plus. Employee must be able to interact with a variety of personalities, make immediate decisions, have the ability to work on several tasks at any given time, and remain compassionate, and level-headed while working in a fast paced environment. Strong leadership skills required along with the ability to provide effective consulting to individuals and departments. Must have motivational presentation skills.Ability to challenge the thinking of business leaders and the HR community.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to all Plexus locations, both domestic and international.Previous experience in a global environment is preferred.PHR certification is a plus.

 



Employee will be reviewed at least annually on his/her ability to achieve the outcomes stated above.  Additionally, the employee will be required to successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the Company, necessary to do the job.  The employee must maintain the confidentiality of all departments, company, employee, and customer information while working safely, at all times.
