Learning & Development Specialist, Center of Excel

Job Description: General Summary: Insure maximum gain from Boston Scientific's investment in learning technology by facilitating effective use of the Learning Management System and other Learning & Development (L&D) tools. Drive a high standard of professionalism in L&D information and communications. Insure consistency and compliance in Learning & Development processes and technologies worldwide. Develop ongoing training and communication materials for users of L&D processes and systems.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:


Training and, Communication
o Assist colleagues in writing course descriptions and learning objectives that clearly communicate the appropriate information to end-users
o Develop and maintain an L&D style guide
o Create and maintain a central repository of information on L&D processes and best practices
o Assess needs on an ongoing basis for training and communication on L&D processes and systems
o Develop, communicate and maintain training materials on L&D processes and systems
o Drive consistency, quality and professionalism of information in the LMS and in L&D communications
o Become highly proficient with the Plateau LMS, QuestionMark and Centra, and coach colleagues on effective use








Compliance
o Develop expertise in compliance regulations related to training
o Advise colleagues on standards for training compliance
o Represent the L&D COE for specific audit-related activities


Processes
o Lead efforts to further define and document L&D processes across functions and locations
o Document and maintain L&D processes and best practices
o Facilitate the gathering and use of data to drive process improvements in L&D
o Assist Convergys in maintaining authorization lists, based on BSC policies and processes

Position Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in education, communication, English or related field


5+ years experience in Learning & Development, including analyzing training needs and developing training materials


Experience developing e-Learning


Excellent writing and communication skills


Must be detail-oriented, systematic and possess excellent organizational skills


Strong technology skills - especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint - and the ability to master new software applications very quickly


Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision and maximum speed


Responsive to the needs of others and able to delivery high quality work in a very fast-paced environment


Comfortable working globally with people from multiple regions and cultures

Working Conditions:

This position may be located at any Boston Scientific U.S site. Travel will be required 0-4 times per year.
