The Manager - Human Resources at our Keene, New Hampshire facility will be responsible for managing the human resources department for the plant including associate relations, total rewards, safety, and training and development. Additionally the manager will maintain ongoing policies, programs, and practices to insure state-of-the-art associate relations. Coaching management on selection and proper treatment of associates as well as acting champion of safety and training functions will be essential in the performance of this position. The manager is responsible for organizational assessment and development and associate development, including manufacturing management and supervisory succession planning and manpower planning and development. Additional responsibilities would include:Establish and monitor baseline goals in areas that are supportive of current business conditions. Assess plant performance and initiate actions to assure continuous improvements. Develop a consistent approach to performance management process training and supervise team building. Monitor insurance cost containment and HR tracking systems such as head count, applicant tracking, EEO/AA reporting to insure accuracy as well as consistency and compliance with all state and federal laws. Improve the image of the company in the community as being an Employer of Choice by being active in community relations and supporting Business/Education partnerships. Be knowledgeable of Safety and Quality compliance standards related to the business Identify/diagnose/develop organizational training, development, motivation, reward and feedback systems. Assess team capabilities and design/lead team-building interventions. Identify those skills required to meet future business needs, diagnose skill gaps, develop long-term capability-building strategies and locate/develop training programs or curricula to address skill gaps. Coach/mentor managers and supervisors on effective management, communication and associate involvement behaviors. Develop individualized strategies to develop leadership and management competencies. Develop management strategies, processes and tools to achieve CI focus, performance focus and work redesign.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, business or organizational development with 10+ years of related work experience. An MBA or a master's degree in OD is preferred.To be successful in this position, the incumbent will have substantial experience in an organization development role, having led the development and implementation of organization-wide organizational development or capability-building initiatives. This individual should exhibit strong collaboration skills and must possess a thorough knowledge of standard policies and procedures, and employee benefit programs. An understanding of the rules and regulations of a variety of government agencies is strongly desired.
