Centene Corporation provides multi-line managed care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits in Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children's Health Insurance (SCHIP). Centene operates health plans in seven states. In addition, the Centene contracts with other healthcare organizations to provide specialty services including behavioral health, disease management, nurse triage and treatment compliance.

The purpose of this position is to manage the company's corporate programs at the health plan level covering several of the following areas: employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, training and development, and benefits. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience, 5- 7 years of experience in Human Resources; solid HR generalist background. PHR/SPHR preferred.
Duties include: Ensures the management and implementation of a variety of corporate programs.Provides appropriate communications and promotes employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives.Ensures legal compliance with various governmental laws and regulations. Coaches supervisors/managers on the appropriate and corrective actions necessary to turn around ineffective behaviors and performance. May also have supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.
