Position Description:

The primary function of this position is to provide employee relations? support to all Maumelle staff.

Other duties include:
?Oversees Disciplinary Action ? reviewing strategy and all paperwork and procedures with the management prior to the discussion with the employee. Serves as leader in all investigations and disciplinary sessions.
?Internal and External Recruitment:
Screening all applicants
Drug Screening
Post jobs and places advertisements.
Works with local trade schools/universities
Coordinates with Temporary Agencies
Internal Transfer & job posting procedures
?Conducts new employee orientation sessions
?Supervise ES Specialist
?Handles Safety/Workers? Compensation issues
?Provides policy interpretations for management and employees.
?Works closely with payroll department on pay issues
?Assists with Benefits ? policy questions, medical leave of Absences, verification of Doctor?s notes, FMLA interpretation, etc.
?Works with management to do mandatory EAP referrals
?Handles EEOC/legal issues
?Facilitates Employee Councils & and all employee Events

Must have the willingness to work flexible hours for complete coverage of activities on both first and second shifts.

This individual is expected to serve as an advocate and liaison for all employees and will serve as a consultant to the management group regarding Human Resources' concerns.



Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

?Must have professional experience in a Human Resources Management position with progressive responsibility, 5 years minimum preferred
?Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
?Strong human relations skills
?Flexibility to work on multiple projects with constant interruption
?Must be able to work with confidential information
?Bachelor?s degree highly preferred
?Flexibility to work any hours as needed
?Proven supervisory skills including organizing and prioritizing work, and utilizing sound judgment
?Experience making independent decisions with minimal supervision
Experience in a distribution environment a plus
