Manager of Health Plans/Retirement Plan Benefits

Job Description: One of our international banking clients seeks a human resources professional to manage the retirement planning and health planning benefits for their group here in New York. The position is located in Jersey City. On the health care side of responsibilities, you will be responsible for administration of medical, dental and life insurance and short term/ long term disability and supplemental disability plans. For Retirement plans, the ideal candidate will administer pension plans, 401k plans, and supplemental savings and SERP programs in the bank. Knowledge of compliance with regulatory requirements covering these retirement plans is essential.

 

The candidate must have 5+ years of experience which demonstrates increased responsibilities for both health care and retirement benefits areas .Strong communications skills, both orally and in writing, are essential, given the need to explain the programs and any changes that occur as open enrollments and health fairs are conducted for new employees or current employees who wish to elect these benefits. The ideal candidate will act as the Secretary to the Benefits Committee for the North American Group, will keep the organization?s web-based section of their benefits web site up-to-date, will coordinate vendor performance and will manage terminated employee COBRA benefits, where appropriate.
