The Company is experiencing strong growth and currently has an opportunity for a high-achieving, technically-oriented Manager of Human Resource who enjoys working with internal/external clients and solving complex business issues through the application of human resource best practices, while demonstrating our core values.
This position reports to the Director of Human Resource and will be responsible for growing the company by participating in developing HR department goals, objectives, and systems, including improving upon existing processes and programs, as well as initiating new company initiatives that support a productive and efficient workplace. The Manager of HR will also be responsible for the following:
HR:
Provides day-to-day tactical HR leadership. Measures HR staff?s productivity and effectiveness using various metrics (vital factors) and assist staff with goal setting. Approves staff goals. Provides Director with identification of HR strategies for various HR functions: recruitment, workers compensation, benefits, etc. Assists Director of HR with strategy and organizational development ? by communicating HR vision, mission, and goals. Performs needs analysis, performance management, talent development and other complex projects. Supervises HR Generalists with employee relations protocol, resolving employee complaints, conducting investigations, and making recommendations for corrective actions. Responsible for identifying HR staff development opportunities. Lead, develop and coach staff through influence and team building initiatives. Hold staff accountable to achieving approved development plans. Identifies workplace practices and process improvements. Works closely with outside vendors regarding identification of and improvements in safety and workers compensation, benefits, temp labor, etc. Ensures compliance. Monitors monthly compliance reports, creates action plans for area of responsibility, and prioritizes division visits based on overall compliance opportunities. Executes strategy for Corporate HR initiatives and tailors delivery to division offices, managing efficient rollout. Manages the development of departmental staffing projections and annual plans, in line with Company targets/budgets. Conducts departmental reviews of HR staff results and manages towards targets. Manages plans and processes for turnover tracking, needs assessment, staffing, recruiting, selection, and succession planning. Conducts recruiting and interviews as required. Facilitate hiring decisions. Supports HR Generalist in consulting with management on performance issues, legal issues, or other significant actions that affect employees and the organization. Manages/streamlines HR processes for performance improvement, terminations, investigations, and other tasks. Conducts formal and informal sensing of the environment. Manages administrative compensation processes, including job factoring and internal/external equity. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Manages and participates in conducting new employee orientation.
TRAINING:
Implements techniques that solicit the most effective learning in training scenarios.Reviews, evaluates, designs, develops and documents a variety of learning/training solutions that meet company objectives.Conducts needs assessments to identify the training needs of employees and managers and makes recommendations for appropriate training.
? Establishes methods and standards to measure effectiveness of training.
? Confers with management staff to determine training objectives.
?Writes training programs, agenda outlines, handouts, tests and other
exercises.
?Schedules classes based on classroom and equipment availability
? Participates in meetings, seminars and training sessions to integrate
information into training programsProvide guidance and assistance in training of corporate and field employees Establish a reputation for adding significant value to the business through the development of relevant, efficient and results driven learning and performance materials Assess current and future training needs of the company
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years HR management experience in organizational development, recruiting, legal compliance, employee relations, safety/workers comp, comp & benefits and other functional areas of HR. Must be adept with HR metrics and data to influence organization behavior and change. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a faced-paced environment Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required. Strong work ethic/willingness to put in the hours and effort necessary to attain goals. Good strategic planning and operational sensibilities Proficient use of Excel and generating complex formulas. Knowledge of Federal and California State labor laws required. Knowledge of Arizona and Nevada State labor laws also preferred.
