NIHR Field Specialist (Recruiter)

If you are an experienced recruiter with a passion for recruiting, here is an opportunity to join the Nationwide Insurance team.  This position supports the Great Lakes Region, a four-state region. Travel is required. PHR/SPHR is preferred.  Based on the candidate's experience, this position will be staffed at the HR Representative or HR Specialist level.

 

JOB SUMMARY: Provides operational and consultative support to assigned business unit.  Extends necessary support to integrate HR strategy into assigned business unit.  Solicits Home Office HR strategic resources, in concert to assisting the NIHR Field Consultant / Manager to identify local HR trends and demand services.  Acts as a coach to managers in providing direction for complex employee relations issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Consults with management in assisting to implement developed HR strategy to provide input and advise of alternatives regarding HR implications.
2. Assists NIHR Field Manager and NIHR Consultant in brokering the services of center-led resources on succession planning, training needs, complex employee relations issues, organizational structure, compensation, relocation and performance management, leading to the resolution of problems and implementation of developed strategy.
3. Provides guidance and direction on workforce planning.  Thoroughly understands business unit tactical plans, and works with managers to identify human resource implications.
4. Influences and coaches workforce to high performance to achieve and exceed business objectives, and to successfully adapt to and manage organizational and business changes.
5. Acts as a coach to managers in providing direction for complex employee relations issues.
6. Represents company on task forces, committees and project assignments.
7. Recruits for and staffs field positions.
8. Conducts exit interviews, analyzes turnover trends, and makes recommendations for improving retention and employee relations.
9. Ensures adherence to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Frequent travel to field offices, extended hours, evening and weekend work may be necessary.
