Payroll/Benefits Specialist

Advancial Federal Credit Union, located in Uptown Dallas, has a position available for a Payroll/Benefits Specialist.  The applicants will be responsible for preparing, disbursing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll, salary adjustments, payroll taxes, and year-end processing; and maintain the human resources database to encompass salary and benefit information. Administrates various employee benefit plans such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, COBRA insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and unemployment insurance.

 

Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages. Responds to notifications from state agency regarding unemployment claims filed by former employees. Maintains employee benefit files and other record keeping.

 

This position requires the utmost confidentiality.  Experience in ADP processing preferred.  Microsoft Word, Excel and 10 key proficiency required.

 

This position requires a High School degree with 1 to 2 years related experience.

 

Background and credit checks will be required on successful candidates.  Credit must be in good standing with no collection, repossession, or charge off accounts.
