Primary Function

This position is primarily responsible for the accurate processing of payroll to all Associates; including but not limited to payment of salary, overtime, commission and miscellaneous bonuses and to ensure that all Federal, State and local taxes are deducted and paid to the appropriate parties. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of the company's payroll system, ADP.

Principal Duties

- Accurately input change transactions into the payroll system, including but not limited to promotions, terminations, salary and tax adjustments.
- Accurately input new hires into the payroll system, ensuring that all required documents are received and completed properly.
- Calculate and input retro salary adjustments into system.
- Collect and process timecards, ensuring overtime is accurately inputted for payroll.
- Assist with the monthly preparation and input of the Overtime Adjustment.
- Track PTO time and Floating Holiday for all Associates.
- Serve as the contact for Associates regarding payroll questions and concerns.
- Process and input garnishments to coincide with the payroll processing schedule.
- Ensure that local, state, and federal taxes are properly applied.
- Send tax notices to ADP (when applicable).
- Miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

- High School diploma required.
- College Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
- 2 years payroll experience, ADP experience Required, Kronos experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

- Basic understanding of Federal and State payroll tax and employment law.
- Intermediate computer skills and very good knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented with ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills, including good telephone manner with timely follow-up.

Special Requirements

- Ability to work overtime as required to ensure payroll is completed on time and accurately.
