Payroll Manager for a rapidly growing publicly traded company

MTM Technologies, Inc. is a $350 million rapidly-growing publicly-traded company (NASDAQ: MTMC) that provides IT networking and data center services, including access infrastructure, IP telephony, enterprise storage, security and network and systems infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for handling payroll for 700+ employees in a rapidly growing multi-state environment. S/he is responsible for the preparation and distribution of payroll, as well as the reporting processes required by state and federal regulations. This is a hands-on position that requires a combination of accounting and supervisory experience. The main duties will include but aren?t limited to:

? Manages and coordinates the payroll function, ensuring all employees are paid accurately on a bi-weekly basis.

? Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, accounting principles and Federal, State and IRS regulations.

? Files multi-state and Federal payroll tax returns.

? Prepares financial reports for the accounting and budget departments.

? Plans, coordinates, and oversees the production and distribution of all employee tax statements and notifications as required by law.

? Oversees and coordinates the planning, implementation and administration of programs to develop, adjust, and/or enhance payroll systems and procedures as required, due to changes in tax laws, regulations, and pay policies/compensation initiatives.

THE CANDIDATE:

 

Education/Certifications

A Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Business is desired, but relevant work experience will be accepted. CPP certification an added plus.

 

Desired experience and qualifications include:

? A minimum of five years hands on experience managing the payroll function in an organization of 500+ employees.

? Three years experience in a supervisory role.

? Knowledge of Ceridian/Ceridian E Service is highly desirable.

? Experience working in an environment with HRIS systems.

? Complete familiarity with audit and controls.

? Familiarity with State, Federal Tax, unemployment, wage garnishment, and workers compensation.

? Exposure to salaried, hourly and commissioned employees.

? Experience being involved in the implementation and/or conversion of a new payroll system.

? Multi-location and multi-state experience.
