Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc., a leader in the manufacture and sales of material handling equipment, has an immediate opening within its Human Resources Department for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator.  This exempt position reports directly to the Sr. Manager - Corporate Human Resources: Primary DutiesManage payroll processings (headquarters and four factory store locations); ensure accuracy of all payrollsInterface with controllers at each location, communicate payroll informationAnswer garnishments, as required by lawDisburse confidential payroll information as required by policy and lawCreate month-end reporting dataProcess 401-k reports for all locations and submit to Audit 401-k and all benefits programs regularly to ensure accuracyMaintain information for annual 401-k audit; schedule and attend to auditor requests for informationPerform quarterly and year-end audits for payroll function prior to W-2 processingProcess and review W-2s; oversee distribution to appropriate locationsManage STD and LTD claims; assist employees in filing for STD/LTD benefits Audit benefit systems, report any additions, terminations, changes, and/or non-compliances.Investigate unresolved employee insurance claims; assist employees with claims managementAdminister New Hire Orientations, seeking ways to expand and improve orientation processCreate reports on employee information as requested by managementAudit benefits invoices prior to processingExpand ADP record-keeping system; improve HR?s ability to utilize system by creating and populating underutilized Assist in maintaining temporary staffing needs; interface with agency representativesAssist in placement of non-exempt positions in factory; coordinate process with department mgrs/team leaders regarding all steps in processAssist in organizing employee eventsComplete special projects as assigned by HR managerPerform other duties as required

 Essential Skills and Experience:At least three years' experience in ADP payroll administrationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field will be viewed as a strength.Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projectsAbility to keep all sensitive and personal information confidentialStrong customer orientationAttention to detail; pproblem analysis and problem resolutionExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWillingness to take direction and to follow-through on assignments in timely mannerStrong team playerComputer proficiency: Word, Excel and Power PointWork experience in a manufacturing environment will be viewed as added benefit  Excellent Benefits PackageEqual Opportunity EmployerPost-offer drug/alcohol screen required
