Job Description:  Personnel Director

 

As a Personnel Director you will be responsible for the following activities:

 Managing multi-company personnel function for up to 1,000 employeesCorporate-wide communication of personnel mattersManaging benefits administration including health insurance, 401(k) plan, workers compensation and FSAWorking with team to establish an in-house recruiting function as well as formal orientation, education and management training programsEstablishing systems and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, EEOC, contracts, and hiring practicesParticipating on progressive benefits program teamParticipating as key team member of streamlining and automation team for Personnel/Payroll functionsReviewing personnel related journal entries monthlyManaging international employment documents and benefits

 

Required:

 Outstanding leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills and service orientationMinimum 7 years experience in Personnel AdministrationMinimum 4 years of supervising/managing othersBS or BA in Business, HR or related area preferredThorough understanding of HIPAA, EEOC, COBRA and related laws and reporting requirementsIn-depth knowledge of wage and hour and employment laws and practicesExperience with benefits administrationExcellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel and working knowledge of HRIS systemsStrong analytical and quantitative skills, well-organizedComfortable and confident with public speakingExcellent project management and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred:

 

The following skills are preferred:

 Knowledge of basic accounting concepts or journal entriesExperience with Microsoft Access and SAPExperience with ADP and ADP Report Smith or comparable softwareExperience implementing information systems for personnel functions
