Plant HR Leader - Rutland
CITY: Rutland STATE: Vermont COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource functions including all aspects of professional relations, hourly/union relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee involvement, practices, training, organizational change and development, communications and community relations for a plant location.
* Lead the Human Resources operation for the plant location.
* Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, career development, restructuring and reduction of the workforce.
* Consult with the plant team to define roles and missions, design the organizational structure and faciliate team performance.
* Lead change efforts. Support management in administering compensation plans and reward and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization's goals.
* Where applicable take responsibility for Hourly/Union Relations activities.
* Provide advice, council and support for benefits, training, EEO, compliance programs and HR Information Systems.
* Facilitate communications throughout the plant including employee attitude surveys and represent the company in the community.
* Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Master's degree preferred (MHR, MILR, MBA), B.S./B.A. degree required.
* Substantial proven performance on a variety of H.R. positions both staff and client based.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities.
* Outstanding communication, teaming and interpersonal skills.
