Principal ER Consultant

Job Description: (ORC Job Code: A279) Provides counsel and assistance to employees and all levels of management in employee or management issues guided by company's employee relations policy and labor-law legislation. Obtains factual information concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions and/or complaints. May coordinate employee transfers, conduct exit interviews, and provide recommendations for corrective action policy revision and/or improving employee relations. Assists and/or advises management in the formal discipline or termination of employees. (SIRS Job Level: Admin Level 3) Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
