Position summary:
This position contributes significantly to Speakeasy?s success by recruiting high-quality candidates into a variety of technical and sales positions. You?ll be expected to recruit proactively through sourcing and development of contacts to assure a continuous flow of qualified candidates. You?ll also be expected to recommend refinements to the recruiting process to help assure that Speakeasy is hiring individuals whose skills and talents are the best possible fit for each position.
Responsibilities:Working closely with hiring managers to clarify job specifications and requirements; developing job descriptionsRecommending recruiting strategies to fill current and future staffing needsReviewing resumes, sourcing and screening candidates; representing Speakeasy to job candidates in a positive and professional wayDeveloping and maintaining relationships with vendors, colleges, industry representatives, community organizations, and other sources to build a high-quality and diverse candidate pool. Overseeing preparation and placement of job postings; overseeing maintenance of Employment Opportunities section of Speakeasy?s web site and intranetDeveloping and maintaining a continuous pipeline of candidates for Support and Sales positionsOverseeing scheduling of interviews, obtaining feedback from interviewersOverseeing travel arrangements for out-of-state job candidates, as requiredChecking references, preparing offer letters, presenting and negotiating offersProviding timely feedback to internal and external candidatesAlerts HR management to potential legal issues with candidatesInforming departments of new hiresOverseeing maintenance of recruiting logs; generating reports as requestedOrganizing and storing resumes to assure compliance with document retention lawsMentoring hiring managers on legally sound recruiting practices; helping managers develop effective interview questions; conducting periodic training of managers on recruiting and interviewing techniquesRecommending improvements to the recruiting processManaging relationships with outside recruiting agenciesParticipating in job fairs as appropriate
Skills and experience:Three+ years of successful recruiting experience for Internet-based technology companies; a combination of agency and corporate experience preferredExperience recruiting for a variety of positions, including technical, non-technical, and sales positions; ability to recruit for a significant number of positions at the same timeProven effective candidate sourcing experienceExperience recommending and executing recruiting strategies Experience identifying, developing and maintaining recruiting contacts and sources of potential job candidates; ability to identify and maintain a pipeline of candidates Experience working effectively with all levels of management.Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet; good organizational skillsAbility to build effective relationships with candidatesExcellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with employment law as it relates to recruiting; ability to identify potential legal issuesWillingness to carry out all levels of tasks; strong team orientation
