Recruiter (Union Positions)

This position is responsible for interviewing and hiring for all conductor vacancies throughout the CSXT organization. Duties include coordinating advertising activity of open positions, making arrangements for field hiring sessions (hotel logistics, travel, etc.). Responsible for maintaining recruitment and selection data, facilitating testing, conducting orientations and interviews, and making selection decisions. Heavy interaction with field line management and external customers. Assigned to other staffing-related projects on an as-needed basis. Will be cross-trained and work as a Staffing Specialist as needed. CSX Transportation is the largest company in the CSX family employing 34,000 management and union employees. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be able to type 35 cwpm. Prior experience in a recruiting or related HR discipline required. Must have familiarity with employment protocol. Must be familiar with state/federal regulations regarding employment practices. Must be able to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and in front of large, auditorium style environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PeopleSoft required. eRecruit experience preferred. Must possess high degree of sensitivity in understanding employee, and employer needs to ensure proper staffing is well balanced. Must have proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities; must be able to work effectively under tight time constraints. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and make independent, sound decisions. Requires extensive travel (60% plus per week). Some extended hours required.
