Recruiting Assistant

A client located in downtown New York has an immediate position available for a Recruiting Assistant.

Responsibilities:
Support Director of Recruiting for Technology and Operations: screen and handle as appropriate a heavy volume of calls, resumes and correspondence; take accurate messages, relay messages promptly; interview scheduling of senior level candidates; prepare offer letters, regret letters, acknowledgment letters; generate weekly and monthly reports (open positions, new hires, etc.); coordinate internal and external job postings; conduct candidate searches on the various employment websites; phone screen applicants and check references as required; perform general administrative duties, such as faxing, filing, copying, reception relief coverage, invoice and expense reimbursement processing.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline preferred. Five years prior admin experience in Human Resources, preferably within the financial services industry. Candidates must possess strong initiative, attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent follow-up and follow-through skills; strong work ethic and sense of urgency; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to prioritize, and to change priorities as the need arises; strong problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a very fast-paced environment; ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ); accurate typing and proofreading; ability to take ownership/pride in their work; ability to handle confidential information using good judgment and discretion; flexible for overtime as needed.
