Summary - Purpose of Role
Provides support to Corporate Recruiting Department by building candidate pipelines to fill open positions. Uses multiple recruiting techniques to identify candidates. Identifies new techniques or sources to help identify candidates.
Essential Responsibilities
Creates and conducts searches in Blockbuster’s applicant database, Internet Job Boards (i.e. HotJobs, Monster, etc.) and various internet search engines to mine candidates for open positions.
Screen candidates for selected positions to determine if they meet the minimum qualifications.
Perform cold calls into targeted companies to identify potential candidates.
Identify and recommend other internet sources that will help build candidate pipelines.
Schedule interviews between candidates and the recruiting dept. as needed.
Perform reference checks, education verification, and criminal background checks as needed.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Intermediate knowledge of Recruiting Applicant Tracking Systems (Taleo)
General Areas of Knowledge:
Advanced internet mining skills to identify candidates
Intermediate cold calling skills to identify candidates
 
Education/Experience:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
2 – 3 years of Recruiting experience
