Recruiting Specialist

Job Purpose:

 

*Develop, implement, and manage a creative recruiting strategy for PortWatch to bring in applicants through existing and new sources in order to maintain an effective and diverse database of  competent employees.

 

*Use creative sourcing techniques to locate candidates through various measures such as job fairs, mining databases, direct sourcing, professional associations, etc.

 

*Maintain flow of job applicants by placing job openings; assembling recruiting materials; screening and referring applicants; checking references; preparing reports.

 

*Maintain a tracking system of all applicants to maximize turnaround time in filling vacancies.

 

*Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and policies.

 

 

 

Skills/Requirements:

 

*MUST be Bilingual (English/Spanish).

*Staffing experience preferred but not required.

*Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Laws and regulations with regards to employment.

*Experience in sourcing, networking, development, negotiating, and closing potential candidates.
