Recruitment and Training Specialist
WIS International is one of the largest inventory service providers in the world. We have 200 offices throughout the United States, Canada, Latin and South America, Europe and Asia.
The Recruitment and Training Specialist works closely with the Division HR Director, Field Operations Managers, Senior Team leaders and Area Recruiter Trainers throughout our Northern Division to ensure candidates are sourced, screened and on boarded. This individual is responsible for developing and maintaining recruitment strategies that will ensure our field operations team has the ability to efficiently recruit and maintain staffing levels necessary to meet the needs of our growing business. The incumbent will proactively network both internally and with external organizations to identify talent and build a pool of bench candidates.
This position is responsible for overseeing and assisting with in-house training and development for division employees; duties include but are not limited to developing and implementing training programs and performing related HR functions.
ResponsibilitiesEffective sourcing, screening, and interviewing of quality candidates to support client groups in a timely fashion with a sense of urgency.Manage the entire Recruitment process from job postings, tracking candidates, analysis, and on-boarding. Research and suggest recruitment solutions for several client groups to maximize candidate selection. Well versed on Recruitment/Interviewing techniques, policies, procedures, and related employment law. Work with the Operation teams to assess all new recruitment needs.Continuously identify innovative recruiting sources and process improvements in an effort to strengthen the current recruitment strategy, model, process, systems, and measurements currently in place.Advise and coach Area Recruiter Trainers through the recruitment process in compliance with company policy/procedures for hourly staff.Network and develop contacts with colleges and universities. Oversee and assist with implementing recruitment and training procedures in local area offices to new hires and existing employees. Contributing to training curriculum content modification and updates as needed.Conducting training sessions with new Area Recruiter Trainers.Ability to advise and consult on employee relations issues and general HR functions. Complete special projects, as assigned by Division Human Resource Director.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in recruitment, training and development or general human resource functions. In addition, they must have excellent interpersonal skills and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment. Exceptional oral and written communication, coaching and influencing skills; strong analytical, organizational, and multi-phased project planning, management, and execution skills are essential. Solid time management and leadership skills coupled with high competency in analysis and problem solving is also required. Extensive experience using an applicant tracking system and internet sourcing is required with advanced knowledge of the internet as it relates to searching for and researching talent. Proficiency in basic Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is key. Demonstrated change management skills and effective influencing behaviors are preferred.
