Raymour & Flanigan Furniture is the fastest growing furniture retailer in the Northeast. We are looking for an experienced, successful and driven Corporate Field Regional Recruiter (RR) to continue to develop our entire NJ / LI NY METRO market. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and talented RR to join our team of retail professionals.
Raymour & Flanigan Furniture has developed a proven method of retailing furniture that we've taken from one family owned store in Syracuse, NY to over 63 stores in six states. Our current growth and profitability is lead by dynamic, second generation owners who are known for and proud of assembling some of the finest teams in the industry.
As a Regional Recruiter, you'll support our growth in this market with sourcing, selecting and hiring retail entry level to exempt talent for our Showrooms /Customer Service Offices / Warehouses / Call Centers. An RR is an integral part of Raymour & Flanigan?s success is our ability to hire a diverse sales force that shares the same vision, passion and dedication as our original founders.
We are currently experiencing unprecedented growth in our company due to expansion into the NY Metro retail market. As a privately owned firm, our employees can expect direct, in-depth training and mentoring from the leaders of our company on a daily basis.
We have immediate opportunities for seasoned in home-delivery / stock / assembly associates and ambitious recent graduates for supervisory positions. The right person can expect attractive weekly pay & uniforms. Hence the need for an additional field based Corporate Regional Recruiter to cover the NJ / LI NY METRO region.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially phone skills.
Prefer experience with MS Word and spreadsheet programs such as Excel.
The RR would be responsible for the following recruitment functions:
Management of the recruitment process - recruit, source and assess talent according to position specifications in a high volume environment with multi-locations
?Effectively manage relationships both internally with hiring managers and outside vendors create and post job specifications on company website and outside job forums
?Minimum of 3 years prior experience in ?field? staffing, at least one to two years in retail / warehouse / customer service / office support recruitment
?Strong interviewing skills
?Well versed with prior experience managing HR policies and practices
?Demonstrated ability to coach and influence hiring managers/ peer groups in decision-making and strategic process
?Utilization of E-solutions and web-based tracking and sourcing tools
?Ability to recommend staffing/sourcing solutions
?Strong verbal/ written communication abilities
?Effective interpersonal skills
?Proven analytical/ problem solving abilities
?Experience conducting skills and behavioral-based interviews
?Strong organizational and follow up skills
?Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment

*ROAD WARRIOR (willingness to travel between Long Island and NJ)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidate must have a minimum of five years of full lifecycle recruiting experience in a fast paced environment. Must develop excellent relationships with practice leaders and community to fully understand complex hiring requirements and develop sufficient candidate pools to fill current and potential needs. This individual will identify and source quality candidates via innovative sourcing avenues, develop job-appropriate behavioral and competency-based interview questions, coach hiring managers on candidate assessment techniques, manage candidate communications, negotiate offers, hire contingent personnel as needed, work on special projects as necessary, and contribute process improvements to the recruiting area:
*Coordinate interviewing teams and schedules for candidates
?Prescreen candidates for all levels
?Perform other tasks and special projects as required or assigned by functional leadership
?Assess recruiting needs and develop sourcing strategy to target outstanding candidates
?Develop strong relationships with targeted colleges programs
?Ensure information is properly maintained for reporting purposes
?Source candidates through internal and external means
?Conduct job based and behavioral phone interviews with candidates.
?Set expectations with candidates with regard positions
?Ensure appropriate and accurate updates to files and systems
?Compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal laws and guidelines
?Source candidates for respective industry/service areas through various sources (direct, internet, referrals, research, relationships, field recruitment, etc.)
?Communicate needs to staff to generate referrals/leads
SUMMARY:
Provide employment and recruitment support including interviewing, planning and developing retention strategy and plans. Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining recruiting practices and programs designed to achieve recruitment goals. Assure compliance of all employment/labor laws through programs, practices, policies, and actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible for management of the new hire process for Full time Commission Sales Associates:
- Screen and interview applicants for employment ensuring that qualifications and prerequisites are met; Interview scheduling; Administer all applicable candidate pre-employment skill assessments
- Career Fair/Open House representation
- Track resumes and applications and generate candidate correspondence
- Drug testing and background checks
- Employment offers, including preparation of letters and related documents
2.Maintains job files and document recruiting activity for EEO compliance
3.Plans, develops and maintains on-going creative recruitment and retention strategy and processes. Develops alternate recruiting resources/avenues to meet hiring goals.
4.Coordinates external Career fairs and internal Open Houses.
5.Coordinates job advertisement process.
6.Assist in all new hire orientations and ensure completion of all new hire paperwork.
7.Maintains internal job posting process.
8.Works with other regional team members
9.Tracks and reports progress towards recruiting goals to Sr. Regional Recruiter /Vice President
10.Develops and maintains a professional relationship with Managers, Supervisors and employees by ensuring a sense of mutual trust, concern, respect and teamwork.
11.Protects Company interests by ensuring that all legal requirements for equal employment and compliance are met by keeping informed of changes in these areas and by implementing the necessary practices/programs to meet these changes.
12.Develops and maintains open and positive communication with all internal and external contacts including other Company Departments and outside organizations and agencies to assist in attaining Company goals.
13.Other duties as assigned
Additional Requisite Skills, Competencies and Personality Attributes:
*Must be presently a multi unit Human Resources Recruitment professional w/ experience in Field recruitment & traditional sourcing methods for the last 3-5 years.
*Candidates also should be able to stand for long periods of time and have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
*Ability to work a full-time schedule, which may include nights, and weekends.
*Availability to work the hours necessary (some overnight travel may be required)
*Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
*Availability to travel to showrooms/ customer service offices/ warehouse / career fairs
*Ability to maintain excellent work habits
*Exceptional teamwork skills and customer focus
*Demonstrated success in mid to high volume recruiting atmosphere.
*Experience with a wide variety of sourcing methods
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment, proactively determine recruitment priorities and function independently
