Regional Human Resources Representative

We are experiencing phenomenal growth and are looking for someone to join our team as a Regional Human Resources Representative for Toledo, OH.
Position Summary:
? Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs.
Essential Functions:
? Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
? Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all assigned regional personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains consistent compliance with employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
? Maintains and coordinates employee recognition/mentoring programs for assigned region.
? Participates in regional operations staff meetings, Corporate Human Resource meetings, and attends other meetings and seminars.
? Maintains company organizational charts and employee directory for assigned region
? Participates in developing department and regional goals, objectives, and systems.
? Promotes a union-free environment by educating, mentoring and counseling with management personnel, while responding to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints, resolving minor incidents and working in tandem with Corporate on more complex issues.
? Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
? Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement, when possible.
? Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce, in the absence of a Regional/Corporate Trainer.
? Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
? A Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field.
? One to two years experience in Human Resources Management.
? Any similar combination of education and experience.
? Union/UAW experience required.
? Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
? Ability to organize and prioritize work.
? Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
? The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
? Travel is required up to 75% of the time.
? Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred.
? Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
? Pass a drug screen.
