This position is responsible for monitoring, researching, analyzing and determining business impact of state and federal regulatory/legislative issues and trends relating to Concentra, Inc., all Concentra divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates as regulatory/legislative issues may pertain to product development, operations, implementation of policies, regulatory reporting requirements, network development and clinic requirements. Works effectively with government agencies, clients and internal and external contacts to resolve regulatory and business issues primarily through email and telephonic communications. Communicates with management staff, providing information regarding legislation. Solid team player but able to work independently and make decisions. When appropriate, this position manages internal and external customer communications relative to the department newsletters and training, including writing articles for the newsletters and developing training materials. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and preferably two years of regulatory, legislative, compliance, managed care and/or legal research and writing experience or an Associates degree and preferably three years regulatory, legislative, compliance, managed care and/or legal research and writing experience. A paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program may be accepted in lieu of an Associates degree. Ability to develop and implement policies and standards; Ability to write reports and business correspondence; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to coordinate and direct large multifaceted projects; Problem-solving abilities; Ability to work in a fast paced environment with critical deadlines; Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, deal with stressful situations, accommodate multiple demands for time and resources with frequent interruptions; Strong sense of initiative and urgency; 80% computer usage-specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus; Regularly required to sit, talk and hear and use hands for office equipment; Ability to read and comprehend in-depth materials; Must be efficient and organized; Must be able to make independent decisions within the boundaries of the position and company policies when issues arise; Must have personal and professional drive and be success-oriented; Must be resourceful and utilize various agencies to obtain appropriate information; Must be a creative problem solver; Must be open to participation in professional development activities as may be directed by management. Ability to travel (infrequently) as may be needed.
