SENIOR BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR

The Senior Benefits Administrator will assist with administration of large multi-state Firm employee benefits plans including health care, life, disability, FMLA, FSA, 401(k) and other health and welfare benefit programs. This position will interact with Firm-wide HR Representatives as well as employees to resolve related benefit issues; interact with external vendors and consultants for plan administration; financial reconciliation of vendor bills; assist with implementation of new plans; project lead for annual enrollments; assist with employee communications and web-based administrative tools; and evaluate, recommend and develop process improvements to ensure controls and department efficiency. Qualifications :
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years HR experience, Professional Benefits Certification desired, law firm or professional services experience required. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of benefits administration; proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft office programs required, strong interpersonal and communication skills; project management skills and process evaluation highly desirable; overall understanding of health and welfare benefits including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and other legal requirements. The candidate must be a self-starter but yet a team player; naturally analytical and detail oriented with the ability to think independently, and work under periodic pressure to meet tight schedules.
