SENIOR RECRUITER

 

MTA Metro-North Railroad, one of the nation?s most advanced and progressive railroads, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Recruiter.

 

In this position, you will ensure that department hiring needs are met through effective and efficient sourcing, recruiting and placing of qualified applicants to support the mission of the Company.  Responsibilities include: providing direction to client departments, managing Recruitment activities, creating timely & cost effective recruitment strategies for current and future vacancies as well as Identify diverse sources, maintaining contact with various field locations to ensure a more effective strategy and developing and maintaining database of candidates for hiring needs and provide employee relations/out-placement counseling.

 

To qualify, you must possess a 3 years of diverse recruiting experience with demonstrated successful placements at all levels; strong knowledge of employment, labor and ADA laws, affirmative action policies; significant sourcing and negotiating skills are essential as is presentation & interpersonal skills; excellent organizational, oral & written skills are required; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or comparable applications is a must; customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team is mandatory; familiarity with collective bargaining agreements is a plus; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Computer Science, or Engineering strongly preferred.
