SVP Human Resources-Coporate (Healthcare company)

 

 

CareOne is a rapidly growing, privately held, long term care company that has a strong culture focused on delivering exceptional care by outstanding professionals.  We are seeking an experienced senior HR professional to drive implementation of programs to attract, retain and develop the company?s 10,000 employees while building a culture of excellence throughout the company?s 57 long term care centers in seven states.  In this role, you will direct CareOne?s people strategy and serve as a key business partner to line management while delivering a wide range of Human Resources services in support of key business objectives.  You will lead a team of 10 human resources professionals and report to the Chief Administrative Officer.

 

 

 



  Key Responsibilities:

1.  Develop and ensure the effective implementation of HR strategies, processes, policies, systems and metrics that contribute to the overall success of the business.

 

2.  Establish strategic partnerships with senior corporate, regional and center executives.  Serve as an internal consultant to senior management to proactively identify critical company HR issues and develops plans to address.

 

3.  Provide direction and guidance to the organization on union avoidance, employment practices, discipline, orientation, compensation, benefits, contract negotiations and training.

 

4.  Contribute to development and execution of various HR processes including talent development, performance management, succession planning, employee retention and recognition.



5.  Collaborate with the leadership team to effectively communicate and implement new organization initiatives. 

 

6. Provide advice and counsel to senior management regarding all aspects of employment issues including compliance with all labor and employment laws. 

 

 

7.  Design and implement intranet capabilities that will keep all regions informed of activities, policies, and forms.

 

 

8.  Leads integration of new centers as the company expands.

 

 

 



Position Qualifications: 

 

* BA/BS Degree, Graduate degree preferred

 

* Minimum 12+ years comprehensive HR experience, preferably in healthcare.

 

* Proven track record building HR systems and infrastructure and creating and implementing innovative HR programs .

 

* Demonstrated experience in effectively developing, managing and leading HR teams in a multi-site environment

 

 

* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels in a matrix reporting environment.

 

* Customer service oriented, possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-starter. Able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
