SVP Recruiting

Summary of job responsibilities:

To direct, supervise and maintain all aspects of the Recruiting department, including the management of the recruiting personnel and systems, the development of recruiting campaigns, advertising and public relations.  The individual hired will also be expected to develop new and enhance existing systems for the measurement of success and accountability for the efforts of the department

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To effectively lead the recruiting team as they continue the ongoing growth of the recruiting efforts of the company. To effectively oversee the recruiting departments activities in record keeping web site communication and advertising.
To successfully manage department budgets, projects, workload balancing, strategies and processes
Effectively coordinate efforts of various associate activities with regard to the acceptance process and the transition process needed to convert successfully recruited individuals
To effectively back up all functions of the department whenever necessary particularly acting a ?closer? in the recruiting process.
Report out to the Chief Marketing Officer and other members of senior management on activities and status of the department and make recommendations on upgrades or enhancements for the department?s activities.
Act as a member of the executive committee and attend all meetings of this group, as well as participating in all strategic planning and overall management.
Stay current and informed about all competition to our recruiting efforts.
Learn and keep informed about current company and industry and regulatory policies and procedures
Establish and maintain systems and procedures to recruit approve and transition new rep/advisors to the company.
Professional and courteous interface with all departments and play an active roll in improving the efficiency of the department and staff training

 

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be available at the direction senior management for other duties and responsibilities
Various projects

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

? Consistent and effective supervision of the day-to-day activities of the Recruiting staff

? Handle any rep or staff issues that require escalation to a supervisor

? Ensure that company and departmental policies and procedures are being followed

? Set reasonable standards for accomplishing departmental tasks and goals and ensure those standards are being met

? Administer performance reviews as necessary

? Administer verbal, written reprimands and termination notices to employees with the assistance of a member of senior management and Human Resources

? Participate in the interview process and selection of new employees as necessary

? Ensure that all staff that directly report to this position are effectively trained

Education/Experience:

Bachelor?s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

Database software; e-mail; Internet software; spreadsheets; word-processing; presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) software; proprietary custom software.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Series 7 required, 24 recommended and preferred.
