Senior DB Calculations Analyst 54947
Description The Senior DB Calc Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of tasks required to provide participants with the value of their pension benefit, ensure timely and accurate payment of the participants pension benefit, supporting other parts of the organization with respect to providing answers to participants pension related questions and any necessary systems testing related to the pension plans to which they are assigned. The position requires four to five years of experience with the Client / plan specific knowledge and requires supporting Benefits Analysts and Benefits Coordinators with questions and processes. Specific tasks are outlined below:
? Perform manual pension calculations for Intent to retire packages, Estimates, MRD?s, Batch Terminations, Disability Calculations, QDRO Calculations, FICA Calculations
o Calculations include determination/confirmation of eligibility for benefit, early reduction factors, optional forms of payment, etc.
? QA of Intents, Estimates, MRD?s, Batch Terminations, Disability Calculations, QDRO Calculations, FICA Calculations
? Address all types of participant escalations
? Review fulfillment to participants
? Create manual fulfillment when needed using the Excel tool and Word Merge
? Testing (Pre & Post) for monthly production moves (including regression batches)
? Update, as needed, the ACCESS DATABASE for manual calculations
? Process Death calculations for Beneficiary Support Team
? Manually produce and process Deferred Survivor Benefit Commencement Packages
? Escalations ? internal and / or from client
? Process Orphans ? perform data research, process calculations, set up payments
? Review Transfer and Rehire packages
? Process required data updates to reduce ongoing manual calculations
Education and Typical Years of Experience A Bachelor?s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Professional certification in HR area(s) of specialization preferred but not required. 3-5 years of progressively responsible related Human Resource experience in functional specialty, preferably in a professional/technical services environment.
