JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Senior Human Resources Analyst
CoTherix, Inc., located in South San Francisco, California, is a biopharmaceutical company focused on licensing, developing and commercializing therapeutic products for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. CoTherix currently markets Ventavis? (iloprost) Inhalation Solution in the United States for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a highly debilitating and potentially fatal disease characterized by high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries of the lungs. The Company is also developing fasudil, a rho-kinase inhibitor, for the treatment of PAH and stable angina. Stable angina, a symptom of coronary artery disease, is chest pain or discomfort that often occurs when the heart does not get enough blood.
POSITION SUMMARY
As Senior Human Resources Analyst, you will develop, support, and administer the Company?s compensation and performance management programs. You will also take a lead role in designing, selecting, and implementing HR systems and procedures that automate HR transactions to support the Company?s growth and expansion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Consult with managers and employees on compensation related issues including design and review of job descriptions, job leveling, equity reviews, department structures, and pay changes.
? Conduct compensation analyses and benchmarking for new positions, employment offers, promotions, and annual performance reviews.
? Conduct modeling, statistical analysis, and costing of base, incentive, and equity compensation programs.
? Coordinate the annual performance and salary review, including management of a web-based salary planning system.
? Research, select, implement, and manage an HRIS, online timekeeping system, online performance management and salary planning system, and other HR databases and systems.
? Develop policies and procedures, including appropriate controls and auditing procedures, for HR systems and routine transactions.
? Train HR staff and other applicable end users on HRIS and other HR databases and systems.
? Design, capture, and report functional and strategic HR metrics.
? Analyze, budget, and plan benefit programs based on cost and effectiveness.
? Conduct periodic benefit plan audits and prepare annual filings.
? Assist in the design, launch, and maintenance of HR-related content on the Company intranet.
? Partner with managers and Finance to develop and monitor human capital budgets, including headcount, cash compensation, equity, benefits, training and development, and recruiting expenses.
? Partner with Finance and Legal in administering equity plans, including communicating option grants, training employees, and ensuring compliance in all stock administration procedures.
? Primary responsibility for salary surveys, including survey input, leveling, and data analysis.
? Analyze and prepare reports for HR Director and other senior managers.
? Project management of special HR projects
? Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
? Minimum of six years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including at least three years of focused compensation and/or HRIS experience
? BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent training or experience).
? Excellent written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
? Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasks.
? Demonstrated mastery of MS Excel; proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
? Basic knowledge of database and network file structures.
? Database programming experience, including generating queries and custom reports.
? Expertise in financial analysis, statistical analysis, and spreadsheet modeling is required.
? Experience implementing and/or designing an HRIS.
? Experience designing compensation and equity programs, including incentive plans and salary structures.
? Executive and Board compensation experience is highly desirable.
? Must be flexible, enthusiastic, and demonstrate maturity in judgment.
? Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with tact and professionalism.
? Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
? Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team.
? Knowledge and understanding of California and Federal employment law, including wage and hour regulations.
? Experience documenting and auditing processes and procedures in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations preferred.
? CCP or PHR certification preferred.
