Senior Instructional Designer
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Instructional Designer with proven success as a solutions-minded business partner and not just an administrator. Our consultative, customer-centric approach to Human Resources is vital to our success. In this role, you?ll partner with various business units to create and foster our inaugural Management Training program. The program is designed to strengthen our leadership team and further E*TRADE FINANCIAL?s business objectives practices. This is an opportunity to significantly impact the rapid growth of our company. If you are a self-motivated team player with the ability to function within a fast-paced, evolving environment, we?d like to hear from you.
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor?s degree and several years of training experience. We?ll expect that you have a minimum of 5 years instructional design, curriculum development, and training experience in a corporate setting. Of course, effective communication skills are essential to the success of this position. Travel is required.
Familiar with a variety of multi-media and web-based development tools such as HTML, Flash, Photoshop, Power Point/Keynote, etc. is highly desired.
The Job
? Contribute to company goals by providing advanced instructional design, development, implementation, and evaluation recommendations that support business unit leaders.
? Conduct comprehensive needs assessment and audience analysis for existing programs and new education and training programs, and assist in developing the annual training calendar.
? Partner with business units, training staff, and HR Generalists to design training workshops and curriculum that enable our associates to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their work. Target areas include ?Hiring and Orienting Talent?, ?Managing Conflict?, ?Managing Teamwork? and ?Managing Performance?.
? Develop and deliver training sessions/workshops consistent with adult learning theory including lectures, group activities, discussions, case studies, role-plays, simulations, and other experiential activities. Design job aids and leader guides to accompany training, as needed.
? Manage our e-learning system with expertise in front-end needs analysis, curriculum development and management, web-based design, and project management. Partner with Technology to ensure successful implementation.
? Design evaluation strategies to measure the quality and effectiveness of e-learning courses, and make recommendations for improvement.
? Demonstrate innovative thinking, ability to collaborate across departments and functions, excellent project management skills, and eagerness to work as a team player.
