Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Human Resources department in San Francisco.
This position will actively deliver robust project management, process reengineering and change management support to projects and programs being implemented within Human Resources, including, but not limited to HR Transformation. Position uses standardized processes, tools and methodologies in order to successfully execute project goals and objectives within agreed-to timeframes and budgets. This position is an individual contributor within the HR Operations organization, and reports directly to the Manager of Operations Planning. Actual level of position will be determined by the skills, qualifications and experience of the selected candidates.

Responsibilities:
? Manage and prioritize personal workload
? Effectively manage projects and initiatives to achieve desired goals, benefits and objectives
? Effectively support and deliver services to the PG&E enterprise
? Provide exceptional services that differentiate PG&E in the workplace
? Comply with appropriate legal, regulatory and corporate policy requirements
? Provide the Operations Planning Manager with data and information regarding project status, schedule, timing, issues and risks
? Deliver service components designed by the Centers of Expertise (CoE) as directed by the HR Operations Planning Manager and HR Operations Director.
? Manage project activities, schedule and resources to reach project goals and objectives. Produce documentation including project/initiative journey map, schedule, charts, and status reports in order to track and communicate project status, timing, issues and risks
? Work closely with organization leaders and functional specialists to implement project components. Assist leaders with the implementation of their organizations in a manner that is consistent with the HR Transformation service delivery model Provide additional resource support as needed to ensure that assigned clients reach their objectives within cost, time, and design constraints
? Execute, as directed, processes to effectively support and deliver HR services
? Supports all efforts to ensure that all HR services are in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and laws, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations; Company and Union agreements; plan documents; and Company policies
? Utilize clearly defined methodologies to guide clients through the transformation process. Apply knowledge of PG&E business needs, culture and direction to the methodologies employed in order to improve applicability and adoption by client organizations
? Inform and train clients and associated projects/initiatives in HR Transformation methodologies, and service delivery plan
? Work with PG&E Business Transformation Program Management Office to record, track and respond to required project document and data requests. Ensure that all project components integrate with BT initiatives where appropriate
? Support change management activities by identifying change management requirements, assisting in the development of CM materials, and by delivering CM presentations and information to impacted employees and clients
? Actively support the implementation and delivery of new/modified HR programs and projects; Work with clients, HR Operations functional areas, and HR service Channels (CoE, LCD, and BPs) to ensure that programs and services are delivered according to design, organization/business needs and are consistent with the HR service delivery model
? Engage with external peers to identify and recommend project management leading practices to the PG&E enterprise
? Conduct ongoing benchmarking for targeted areas within Human Resources; directly analyze and translate benchmarking/site visit findings to improve department service and efficiency
? Review HR organization metrics and trends; Develop strategies to improve and exploit service delivery model efficiencies
? Coordinate with the HR Leadership and ELT to incorporate effective project management processes, controls and monitoring into actual project implementation
? Work collaboratively with Business Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure all aspects of HR Transformation meet PMO audit requirements
? Continuously improve knowledge and understanding of project management and total quality best practices and principles
Required/Essential:
? Strong organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills
? Ability to understand, translate, and apply project management, process reengineering, and change management methodologies to the PG&E enterprise
? Strong oral and written communications skills to clearly communicate service delivery model, process methodologies and service improvement opportunities
? Possess a Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
? Project Management, 6-Sigma or equivalent certification and/or experience implementing multi-year, complex initiative with clear results; 5+ years experience and responsibility for implementation of designated projects/initiatives or equivalent experience
Desired/Marginal:
? Experience with HR Service Delivery Models that include Centers of Expertise, Business Partners and Operational components
? Experience with Business Transformation and HR Transformation concepts and implementation
? Knowledge of and experience with Human Resources policy, program and plans
? Utility industry knowledge
